CE hosts climate luncheon
Chief Executive CY Leung hosted a high-level lunch on climate change at Government House today for business leaders, with Secretary for the Environment KS Wong and other officials.
Participants discussed possible co-operation on areas including saving energy and carbon emission reduction.
To combat climate change, the Government has been adopting mitigation, adaptation and resilience measures.
It has put particular emphasis on timeline, target, transparency and togetherness when working jointly with stakeholders.
Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will chair a climate change forum in July to seek the views of key stakeholders in formulating a long-term strategy for Hong Kong.
