China, being a non-Annex I Party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is required to communicate regularly the status, progress and contributions on combating climate change by submitting the following documents to the UNFCCC Secretariat.
- National Communications (NCs);
- Biennial Update Reports (BURs); and
- Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs)
In preparing these documents, China has incorporated HKSAR's contribution in dedicated Chapters or Annexes to those reports.
